Best AI girlfriend apps for chatting

Over the past 5 months, I tested 9 AI girlfriend websites. Here’s a simple summary and comparison of the best ones:
1. ouraidream.ai
This one impressed me the most out of all I tried. It has great images and the best chat quality. You can customize almost everything (like the AI model, image style, and more). Right now, it's my top choice.
2. candy.ai
The realistic images look really good here. There are lots of ready-made AI companions to pick from. Chats are fun and nice, but they feel a bit basic - like they're using cheaper AI tech. Not the best if you want deep or detailed roleplay.
3. onlychar.ai
What makes this site stand out is its big community - anyone can create and share their own AI girlfriends. There are hundreds (even thousands) to choose from. Some are bad, but many are really good. You can't customize your own character much directly on the site (unlike ouraidream or candy). Image quality isn't as strong either.

I'd recommend Darlink first. The free version actually works well - you get far more than just a few messages before it stops you. In my test, it remembered our chats for three weeks straight, which is pretty rare. The chats start feeling natural after a few conversations. The images look realistic, and everything fits together well.

The current king of zero-restriction, fully uncensored AI girlfriend experiences is Candy AI.
CrushOn AI is still decent for free uncensored text roleplay, and OurDream AI or GirlfriendGPT can get wild too. However, Candy consistently feels the most polished and least likely to suddenly grow a conscience mid-conversation.
If you're okay spending a few bucks for the premium tier, that's where it really shines without any artificial limits. Most "free" options either cap you hard or sneak in filters eventually.
