Hi everyone!

To all the lovers navigating a long-distance relationship - what tips would you share from your personal experience to help others make it work?

Don't get upset over little things. Never end a call or conversation on a bad note - always talk things out with your partner. Avoid adding unnecessary stress to their daily life. Simple gestures like sending good morning and good night texts, or little things that remind you of them, make them feel loved.

Make an effort to remember the small details about them - like how they like their coffee, new things they want to try, and important events coming up in their life. Trust them and keep in mind that they have a life outside of your relationship. Don’t make everything about you and your life. And, please, avoid starting drama over insignificant things (like if they didn’t call you exactly when they said they would).

These small things can help keep your long-distance relationship strong and healthy!

At the start of a long-distance relationship, it’s important to align on expectations for handling the distance. You might decide to have a daily phone call and text throughout the day, or perhaps a morning and night FaceTime call. Work together to figure out what works best for both of you - there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The more you understand each other’s needs, the better your communication will be.

Planning regular visits helps reduce the time apart and gives you both something to look forward to. You could even set up a countdown on your phone or at home. Visiting each other shows that you prioritize the relationship and are willing to make sacrifices to be together. These moments can create lasting memories, especially when you make the time together feel meaningful.

This may not always be possible, but it's definitely worth considering!
