Is SugarDaddyMeet as good as it looks?

Hi everyone,

I'm 41 and just got out of a long marriage. I'm looking for a sugar baby for a mutually beneficial arrangement in Charleston.

I thought about trying Seeking, but from what I've read, it seems more like regular dating now and has a lot of scammers, so I'm not sure about it.

I've seen people mention SugarDaddyMeet. Has anyone had good luck there? Is it still a good site for real sugar arrangements?

I'd love honest advice from both sugar daddies and sugar babies on which paid sites actually work for this - not regular dating.

Thanks for the help.

I’ve been using SDMeet for a while now. It’s not a total “cash grab,” but the token system can be pretty annoying, especially when you don’t get any replies.

From my experience, a lot depends on how strong your profile is and how you approach people. Like most sugar dating sites, there are some fake or inactive accounts, but I’ve also connected with real and serious people on it.

I have used Sugar Daddy Meet for several years and have never tried Seeking. During that time, I met seven sugar babies through the site. Like most sugar dating apps, it has scammers, fake profiles, and flaky users. I moved from a big city to southern Arizona, so there are fewer options here now. Still, I currently have a couple of potential sugar babies I’m talking to. If you stay patient and can handle some frustration, the site is pretty decent.

Sugardaddymeet charges a monthly fee. It used to be around $50, but now it has gone up to $140.

Personally, I’ve had much better success on SecretBenefits.

I’ve been scammed a few times, but I’ve also met some really nice women. Like any dating site, it takes a lot of effort to find the right person. Don’t be pushy.

Once, after an arrangement ended, I subscribed to Secret Benefits for one month and sent 87 messages. I received 26 replies.

Out of those, about 6 asked me for money upfront, and 7 disappeared after one or two messages. I had meaningful conversations with 13 women.

I met 3 of them in person. One turned into a 19-month arrangement, and the other 2 didn’t work out. A few others I only chatted with also turned out to be disappointing.

I offer what I think is a fair allowance, but many girls consider it too low. I’m over 60, reasonably fit, and I usually wear nice clothes on dates.

Still, I’m always honest, upfront, and treat the ladies with respect.

All my long-term arrangements have been with beautiful women in their 20s and 30s.

Sugar Daddy Meet is a decent site.

Its main downside is that it has fewer members than Seeking.

However, because it's officially a sugar dating site, there are almost no vanilla daters. You’ll mostly find sugar babies, escorts, and time-wasters. With a bit of practice, you can spot them quickly.
