I've been using Bumble for about two months now and have met a lot of men, most of them over 50. Contrary to popular belief, older people actually embrace technology.
I even met a man at a bar after noticing him browsing Tinder profiles. He looked remarkably familiar, as if I'd seen him somewhere before. I don't know his exact age, but based on the high school graduation year listed in his profile, he's around 60.
I set my age range from 50 to 75, and I've encountered men in that age group on the app. Of course, 75 is definitely too old for me (frankly, even 60 is old), but the 60-year-old man was attractive and approachable. This just proves that these platforms can attract an older demographic.
Sure, this may be just a small sample, but in a tech-savvy city like Austin, I don't think that's the case. Besides, I'm not sure I'd be interested in a relationship with someone who doesn't know how to use simple apps like Bumble or Tinder. It's not difficult, and I'd prefer to be with someone who's open to learning new things.
