What are the best free christian dating sites?

I’ve tried various dating sites over the years and recently downloaded Holy and Upward apps. They seem decent so far, but has anyone here had success with Christian dating sites? I haven’t used them long, so I’d love to hear about others' experiences to decide if it’s worth sticking with.

If you're serious about finding a long-term relationship, a completely free dating site might not be the best choice. Platforms with both free and paid features often attract people who are more committed to investing in their love life. You can start with a free membership on these sites to explore potential matches and see if they’re a good fit for you.

Just because it’s a “Christian” dating app doesn’t mean everyone on it is truly a Bible-believing Christian. I tried several apps and didn’t connect with anyone who shared my values until I paid for Loveeto. Now, I’ve been happily married for 6 years and have a toddler. If I were you, I’d skip the free apps and focus on meeting like-minded Christians in places where they’re more likely to be.

These two are definitely the best options:

1. Upward - this is the most popular Christian dating app, but it’s not the best in terms of design or user experience. Profiles are often incomplete, and overall, it feels like the "Tinder" of Christian apps.

2. HOLY - a newer app with a much better design and user experience. It’s free to use and allows you to swipe through 40 profiles every 4 hours. Users are required to fill out prompts and upload multiple photos, which makes it similar to "Hinge." The quality of matches is generally better compared to Upward.

Other Christian dating sites you may want to consider:

3. SALT - this app isn't great unless you’re open to long-distance relationships (LDRs). The free version tends to show random profiles of Christians from across the country or even internationally.

4. Christian Mingle / CDFF / Eden - these apps aren’t worth it. They have small user bases and outdated designs, which make the experience less enjoyable.

5. Hinge - although it’s a secular app, you can filter for Christians. It’s a solid option with better-quality matches, and I’ve had some promising results using it.

6. Bumble - another secular app where you can filter for Christians, but the match quality is generally lower compared to Hinge.

7. Tinder - this app isn't ideal for finding Christians since it doesn’t allow you to filter by religion.

Higher Bond is a dating service built on Biblical values and is definitely worth checking out. You can join for free, and if someone messages you, you can reply at no cost. While they do offer premium options, they aren’t mandatory. The site is relatively new, so the membership base is smaller, but their unique approach might really appeal to you.

There are several popular and free Christian dating sites and apps where you can meet others who share your faith and values. Top options include ChristianCafe, Christian Mingle, cMatch, and Christian Connection. You can also find Christian singles on platforms like Match.com and Bumble, which offer free versions.

Upward is a dating app for Christian singles. It’s fun, free, and easy to use. Its goal is simple: to help Christian men and women connect through shared faith, values, and interests.
